To prolong the life of your gold plated ring, limit exposure to water, chlorine, cleaning chemicals and polishing as these will cause gold plating to wear more quickly. Please note that gold plating is not permanent. Our gold plated rings are on a sterling silver base so over time they will lighten to expose the silver underneath, but limited exposure to the to the above can keep them gold for longer.
